Description

PACO Group, Inc is an innovative, project management consulting firm specializing in project controls and configuration management. We are seeking experienced Construction Inspectors in all disciplines (civil, structural, HVAC, electrical etc.) for infrastructure projects (rail, bridge, tunnel, aviation etc.) throughout the United States.  This position will be responsible for providing construction inspection services.

The successful candidate must be experienced in urban infrastructure projects, dealing with transit agencies, railroad, utility companies, and other government agencies.  The candidate must demonstrate:

• Experience and knowledge of construction management, heavy construction, and/or shafts and tunnels.
• Ability to read drawings, documentation, perform field inspections, audit quality reports and make recommendations for action.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications and approved submittals.
• Ensure enforcement of construction standards.
• Perform quality control and quality assurance.
• Identify deviations from quality requirements in the field.
• Document daily construction activities, resources, progress, time and material records, prepare reports, document safety deficiencies and other contractor corrective actions.
  

Requirements

• Minimum 5-10 years experience.
• Familiarity with government agency requirements.
• BS/BA in Engineering or Construction Technology.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
• Computer literate,especially in spreadsheet and database programs.
• N.I.C.E. and N.I.C.E.T. certifications preferred.
• OSHA certification preferred.
• Safety certification preferred.

The position may require a valid driver’s license and good driving record.  PACO Group is an EOE/AA employer.
