PACO provided scheduling and cost estimating services for the FIU School of Architecture building.  Work involved the preparation of detailed cost estimates for educational facilities at various levels of project completion; conducting comparative cost analyses of building systems to determine cost effectiveness; conducting value engineering studies of selected projects; analyzing change order requests presented by contractors and assisting in the development of bidding strategies.  Services  also included monitoring of the contractor during the construction phase to ensure timely completion, change order negotiation and approval of progress payments.

Project Overview. This new 100,000 square foot School of Architecture Building for Florida International University includes a complex of art studios, gallery and review rooms, administrative and faculty offices and a parking garage.  In addition, the facility will house a 200-seat auditorium, four large classrooms, and offices for the College of Urban and Public Affairs.
