PACO is responsible for auditing the DBOM documents and providing
Document Management and Records Management services using ccsNet.
Project accomplishments include: Consolidated the document and records
from seven (7) field offices into a single unified repository; Imported
Primavera database into ccsNet; Imported seven (7) independent Microsoft
Access databases into ccsNet; Scanned and imaged over 4,000,000 pages
from over 170,000 records into ccsNet; Created OCR and keyword search
capability for all documents and records; Developed and authored desktop
procedures documentation and a training program; Implemented an
electronic document and records management system; Configured ccsNet to
meet the specific organizational structure and requirements of the
project; and Performed electronic tracking, filing, and management of
all project documentation and records, including: technical drawings,
specifications, cost documents, schedules, and records.
Project Overview. The San Juan Metropolitan Region Rapid Transit,
known as “Tren Urbano”, is the regional rail transit system under
development in San Juan, Puerto Rico. A Design-Build-Operate-Maintain
(DBOM) approach is being used for project delivery. Phase I will
provide service from Bayamon to Santurce via Rio Pedras and Hato Rey.
It will consist of approximately 17.2-kilometers of double-track, fixed
guideway rail line, 14 stations, including a yard and shops, rail
vehicles, power distribution, traction power, trackwork, communications
and the control system. The alignment combines at-grade, elevated,
below-grade (open-cut) and underground structures. Tren Urbano will
provide service for an estimated daily ridership of 115,000.
