The LaGuardia Airport Terminal B Redevelopment Project was a major component of the broader airport transformation program, focused on replacing the outdated Central Terminal Building with a modern, world
class facility. The program included demolition of the existing terminal and associated infrastructure and construction of a new 1.3 million square-foot terminal with 35 gates, along with a new aeronautical ramp, frontage roads, a central heating and refrigeration plant, utilities, and extensive site improvements. The project also delivered new roadway systems within the Central Terminal Area and the West Parking Garage, significantly enhancing passenger circulation and operational efficiency at the airport.
The redevelopment was delivered through a public-private partnership led by LaGuardia Gateway Partners, which was responsible for designing, constructing, operating, maintaining, and partially financing the project under the oversight of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Terminal B served approximately 14.3 million passengers in 2015, underscoring the scale and importance of the facility. PACO Group supported the project by providing construction management, inspection, office engineering, document management, scheduling, and cost estimating services as part of a joint venture between PANYNJ and STV/Tishman for the LaGuardia Airport Redevelopment at LGA.
