The Fulton Center Project transformed transit connectivity in Lower Manhattan by consolidating five previously disconnected underground subway stations into a single, unified transportation hub serving nine subway lines. Opened in November 2014, the center significantly improved passenger circulation and transfers among lines that were originally built by three competing subway systems and later merged under the New York City Transit Authority. The project created a bright, intuitive, and accessible environment that rivals major transit hubs such as Grand Central Terminal, while operating at a more neighborhood scale.
Architecturally, the Fulton Center is defined by its iconic glass-andsteel structure featuring a dramatic 90-foot-high glass oculus that floods the station with natural light and anchors a spacious central atrium. PACO Group, serving as a subconsultant to Bovis Lend Lease, supported the project by providing title research, real estate acquisition, right-of-way services, and cost estimating, contributing to the successful delivery of this complex and highly visible urban infrastructure project.
