The Hudson-Bergen Light Rail System project involved the development of a modern light rail transit network connecting Jersey City and Bayonne with regional transportation systems, including PATH service at Newport. Designed under a Design-Build-Operate-Maintain (DBOM) delivery model, the system features low-floor light rail vehicles, curb-level passenger boarding, at-grade and elevated track sections, and improved transit accessibility and mobility throughout the Hudson waterfront corridor.
