The JFK Redevelopment Program is a comprehensive, multi-phase transformation of John F. Kennedy International Airport aimed at modernizing aging infrastructure and significantly improving the passenger experience. The program includes the replacement of Terminals 1, 2, and 7 with new, consolidated North and South terminals designed to streamline operations and enhance wayfinding. These world-class facilities feature expanded waiting areas, high ceilings, natural light, and architecture inspired by iconic New York landmarks, along with premium amenities such as fine dining, duty-free shopping, modern meeting spaces, Taste NY retail, charging stations, and free high-speed Wi-Fi.
In addition to terminal redevelopment, the program incorporates major airside and landside improvements to enhance safety, security, and operational efficiency. These include upgraded security technologies, expanded taxiways, additional flight slots to reduce delays, reconfigured parking facilities, and the creation of new JFK Welcome Centers to better integrate ground transportation options. PACO Group supported the JFK Redevelopment Program across all phases by providing program management, project controls, delivery and procurement support, constructability reviews, phasing and staging planning, operational readiness and transition services, and outreach and communications support to help ensure successful delivery of this landmark infrastructure initiative.
