PACO Group, as a subconsultant, provided Project Development/Delivery, Project Budget Development, Cost Management, Schedule Engineering, Risk Analysis, Value Engineering Retail & Mixed-Use, and Development Workshops for the redevelopment of Pennsylvania Station, New York. The scope of work included refurbishing the service building, the relocation of Amtrak passenger handling and consumer services to a readapted historic landmark US Postal Service facility known as the James A. Farley Building, and the rehabilitation of the existing Penn Station.
This project required special attention to ADA elements in the adaptive reuse of this historic building. PACO’s role led in the development of a Total Project Budget; Construction Estimate and Schedule and to lead the development of alternative financing/ownership and project delivery strategies. In addition, PACO developed and led a Value Engineering Workshop that enhanced private project development opportunities.
