PACO provided cost estimation services the School Board of Broward County, one of the largest school districts in the nation. PACO provided cost estimation and scheduling services for a variety of programs and projects across Broward County School District.
The task-order assignments began in 2004 with subsequent 1-year renewals granted by the School Board of Broward County until 2007 when PACO reached the maximum contractual options of renewal. Services included the development of the master schedule for the Capital Improvements Program, the preparation of cost estimates at different levels of project completion: i.e., programming, schematic, design development and final contract documents. In addition, PACO functioned as an owner’s representative during the construction phase, providing change order/claims management services, and monitoring the contractor’s schedule and progress payments.
Tasks on this contract included improvements to bus transit infrastructure, new ADA compliant ramps and parking structures, traffic improvements, fire protection improvements, roofing and tile replacement, alarm replacement, interior and exterior renovations, HVAC improvements and replacement, audio and light installation, pool renovation, bleacher replacement, and other miscellaneous improvements to school grounds and surrounding areas.
