This project focused on restoring and strengthening the PATH transit system following the extensive damage caused by Superstorm Sandy. Flooding from storm surge severely impacted tunnels, infrastructure, and critical electrical and mechanical systems, while high windscaused structural damage to multiple facilities. The effort aimed to address these damages and restore safe, reliable service across the system.

In addition to repairs, the project emphasized long-term resiliency by upgrading and hardening infrastructure to better withstand future extreme weather events. This included replacement of key systems such as substations, signals, elevators, and escalators, as well as system-wide inspections and improvements to ensure operational continuity and enhanced protection against similar incidents.
