As part of the master plan for the redevelopment of Philadelphia’s 30th Street Amtrak Station District, PACO Group served as a subconsultant to AECOM to support improvements to the historic station aimed at enhancing functionality and customer amenities. The project included the insertion of a new mezzanine within the main hall featuring a bar and lounge area, as well as the conversion of the first-level garage into an extension of the public concourse to provide improved access to SEPTA and Amtrak platforms. Both areas incorporated new retail space, escalators, and elevators to improve circulation and the overall passenger experience.
PACO provided project controls services, including the development of a conceptual-level cost estimate and construction schedule to enable Amtrak to establish a comprehensive project budget and advance into full design. PACO also delivered document control services to support project coordination and oversight. The project was successfully completed on time and within budget.
