This project supports the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) in enhancing and maintaining its transit system through a broad range of program, construction, and engineering initiatives. The work focuses on strengthening project delivery across capital improvement efforts, including rail and traction power upgrades, as well as the construction and rehabilitation of critical infrastructure such as metro stations, maintenance facilities, substations, and operational buildings. The effort is designed to improveefficiency, oversight, and performance across WMATA’s large-scale transit programs.
In addition to infrastructure improvements, the project emphasizes integrated program management practices and technical support to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. This includes implementing standardized processes, improving systemwide coordination, and enhancing reporting, compliance, and risk management. Overall, the initiative aims to modernize transit operations, support long-term asset reliability, and elevate project execution standards across the network.
